Professional consultants tend to work independently on a contract basis rather than as employees. That’s partly because they want to retain the flexibility to pursue the most interesting and lucrative work but also, of course, because it offers opportunities to take control of their tax liability.

We work with a wide range of clients who have built careers around their hard-won expertise, such as business and management consultants, engineers, architects, surveyors and I.T. specialists. Though their work is diverse, what they have in common is how valuable their time is. Every minute they spend on financial administration or managing tax returns is time they could be billing to a client project.

Our role as specialist accountants for consultants is, first, to get to know you and how we can be of most use. Then it’s about taking accounting work off your plate and simply getting the job done.

If you operate through a limited company, or want to start doing so, we’ll handle company formation, company secretarial duties, Companies Registration Office filings and your company tax return (CT1). Those who operate as sole-traders or via agencies will benefit from our advice and support on PAYE/PRSI, personal income tax returns and long-term tax planning. In terms of day-to-day financial administration, we can take care of bookkeeping and accounts preparation, relieving you of a repetitive but complex task.
